The Card Racing Game Explained: Moto Strike
Moto Strike is a unique motorcycle racing game that relies on using cards instead of direct controls. Players compete to be the first to cross the finish line.
Game Objective
The primary objective is to be the first player to complete the entire 2000-meter track, using your cards wisely to overcome opponents and navigate obstacles.
Basic Gameplay
- Each player starts with a hand of 5 cards. A new card is automatically drawn after any card is played or discarded.
- To play a card and activate its effect, double-tap it.
- To discard a card without using its effect, long-press it. This is useful when you don’t have a card that can help you fix a problem with your bike or advance in the race.
- Players advance along the track based on the values of the Movement cards they play, while simultaneously trying to hinder each other with Trap and Attack cards.
Card Types
The cards are divided into several types, each with its own specific function that affects the course of the race.
Trap Cards
These cards are used to place obstacles in opponents’ paths to slow them down or stop them.
- Mud Trap: If an opponent falls into this trap, their bike will stop, and they will need to play a “Rebalance” card to continue moving.
- Spike Trap: This trap causes the opponent’s bike to fall and damages its wheel. To get back in the race, the opponent must play both a “Repair” and a “Rebalance” card.
- Rock Trap: Works similarly to the Spike Trap, causing the bike to fall. The opponent needs to play both a “Repair” and a “Rebalance” card to recover.
Hindrance and Attack Cards
These cards directly target opponents to weaken them.
- Smoke Bomb: Thrown at the opponent directly behind you, causing them to slow down.
- Electric Shock: Forces your nearest opponent (if they are within 50 meters) to discard one of their cards at random.
- Police Chase: Targets the opponent ahead of you. When played, the opponent has two turns to play a “Maneuver” card. During these two turns, they can play and move normally. If they fail to play “Maneuver” within the time limit, they become immobilized and stop moving until they play an “Escape” card.
Movement Cards
These are the primary cards for advancing in the race.
- Easy Ride: Moves you forward 25 meters.
- Speed Boost: Moves you forward 50 meters.
- Power Dash: Moves you forward 75 meters.
Special and Powerful Cards
Rare cards with powerful effects that can change the outcome of the race.
- Quick Kick: When used against an opponent, it knocks them back 200 meters.
- Deadly Kick: This is the most dangerous card in the game. It can only be used after you have covered 1000 meters. If used against you, you are permanently eliminated from the race and lose the game.
- Kick Shield: A defensive card that protects you from the effects of “Quick Kick” and “Deadly Kick.”
- Emergency Swerve: A comprehensive protection card that shields you from all types of traps (Mud, Spikes, and Rocks).
