Snakes and Ladders Game
The ‘Snakes and Ladders’ game is a fun traditional game based entirely on luck. It is played on a board consisting of 100 squares numbered from 1 to 100, featuring ladders that move players up and snakes that send them back down.
Game Objective
The objective is to be the first player to reach square number 100 exactly, based on the results of the automatic dice roll.
Game Setup
- A board with 100 squares is used, numbered from 1 to 100 from bottom to top in a winding path.
- Each player starts off the board, before square 1.
- An automatic dice roll determines the number of squares the player moves (from 1 to 6).
How to Play
- The first player starts with an automatic dice roll and moves according to the number shown, starting from square 1.
- If a player lands on a square containing the base of a ladder, they immediately climb to the top square the ladder leads to.
- If a player lands on a square containing the head of a snake, they immediately slide down to the square indicated by the snake’s tail.
- The turn passes to the next player, and the game continues in this manner.
- To reach square 100, the roll must be exact. If a player is on square 98 and rolls a 5, they stay in place because the number exceeds 100, and they wait for the next turn.
